Why is our taproom project so vital to the future of House of Pendragon Brewing Company?

Why a Taproom?
Currently, we are a very small brewery, or a nano brewery, which means we only produces up to 3 barrel batches or 93 gallons at a time.  So far, we have only been selling kegs to local bars/pubs and we have been selling every drop we brew and already reaching capacity.  Yet, this is not very profitable for us.  In fact, we are barely breaking even.
Successful nano breweries have a tap room!
The solution to our problem is to open a taproom. This would be much more profitable for us.  Once we have this taproom open, we will be able to quickly grow and become a microbrewery.  This will allow us to make upgrades and produce more beer and get it out to you!
We are asking for your help in making this next step a reality!
We only have a few days left in our Kickstarter campaign.  Some of our donation levels are limited to the number of people that can donate and receive those packages.  All donation amounts get us closer to opening the doors to our taproom.
I look forward to bringing a new age of craft beer to the Central Valley and I promise that you won’t be disappointed!
Or visit our website for a more detailed explanation of the Knights of the Round Table donation level. www.hopbeer.com
Thanks for your support!

Forward!!

Hello all, my name is Tommy Caprelian. I am the owner and brewer of House of Pendragon Brewing Company. We are a Nano brewery in the San Joaquin Valley, more specifically in Sanger Ca, just 10 minutes east of Fresno and Clovis Ca. Officially our brewery started in November 2012, but we didn’t start producing beer until this past Feb 2013. Since we launched it has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. The ups have been mostly to our success of our beer, the downs have been more on the equipment side of the brewery. Every brewery goes through start up problems so we will not dwell on them too much. With that said I would like to ask you to join us on our Journey of a small brewery with big flavor trying to make it in the world. I am a bit embarrassed that I have not utilized this blog more in the past. It truly is a great tool not only for you, the public, to see what goes on in the daily lives of a brewery, but as a written scrapbook that one day I can personally look back on and see our accomplishments.  Please feel free to comment and ask questions.

Now that the introduction is over, what is happening today at HOP Brewing Co.? Today I am trying to make sure that my fermenting beer doesn’t get out of control in this heat. Maintaining temperature when making beer is one of the most important factors in producing a great quality brew.  A temperature fluctuation of 2-3 degrees up or down can greatly affect the taste and or overall beer quality. With that said I am off to the brewery. Until next post!
